The day of treatment is a time for rest and reflection. After your ketamine treatment, engage in self-care and nurturing activities such as journaling, listening to soft music, drawing, meditation, or gentle yoga.
It is normal to feel some lingering effects of ketamine for several hours after your journey. Remember you are not permitted to drive, operate machinery, return to work, make any life changing decisions, or sign any legal documents for 24 hours after your treatment.
You are entering a time of healing and regeneration. Limit any exposure to excessive stimuli or negative viewing or environments (violent TV shows, news, unsupportive people, work stress, social media, crowds, excessive noise, bright lights or too much activity).
If you are in talk therapy, appointments scheduled in the days following a journey can be especially productive.

Ketamine therapy has opened new doors for people struggling with treatment-resistant depression and other mental health challenges. But the healing doesn't stop after the session—it’s what happens next that often defines the outcome. That’s where professionals like Dr. Gorman come in. As a seasoned psychotherapist therapy for business owners and cofounder of Fluence, he’s leading efforts to ensure that clients receive thoughtful, evidence-based integration support after psychedelic treatments. Through his work training clinicians and guiding clients, Dr. Gorman helps create a safe and structured path forward, combining the power of psychedelic therapy with the foundation of traditional mental health care.
